These large pans effectively trap plastic pellets, preventing environmental contamination. Equipped with built-in drains, they facilitate water drainage while ensuring pellet containment. The composite system is adaptable, allowing customisation to suit specific site requirements. Installation is straightforward, requiring minimal site preparation without excavation.
IMPORTANT: The Ultra Composite Pellet Pan is not suitable for containing liquids.

Each pan is fitted with several 76mm drains. Two in each of the standard pans, and three in each composite pan.
No, water will drain regardless of the number of pellets that are contained. However, it is important (and not just for proper drainage) that any pellets that are contained by the pans be removed as soon as possible.
The installation process for either pan is relatively simple and requires only basic hand tools. Detailed instructions are available here. Product specialists and our technical team are also available should you need further assistance. Please feel free to call them at 1300 880 623
Yes, while the Ultra Pellet Pan Composite is designed for a long-term installation, it can be removed if necessary.
The grating is required in standard pans and recommended (but not necessary) for composite pans.
Basic tools that would be available in almost all workshops are all that is required for the installation. Some slightly more specialised tools may be needed for site preparation. Please see the installation instructions here for a complete list.
Not necessary but HIGHLY recommended. Without them, the pellets are very likely to bounce out of the pans and into the surrounding environment.
Without drains, they are not pellet pans. UltraTech’s other railroad containment products, the Ultra Pellet Pan Composite, are essentially the same as pellet pans but without drains so that they can be used to contain liquid leaks and spills.
The drains in the Ultra Pellet Pan Composite are designed to capture pellets 1mm in diameter or larger.
Because of the length of the Ultra Pellet Pan Composite, they must be side-loaded onto a dedicated flatbed or Conestoga truck. Even a single pan will require this method of shipping. Center pans stack 6 high, and side pans ship 12 high.
A total of 12 centers and 24 sides can fit on one 15m flatbed. If shipping alone, 12 centers can ship on one truck and 48 sides can fit on one truck.
