Absorbent Pads

SpilMax® Absorbent Pads are commonly used to absorb spills and capture leaks from containers, machinery, pumps and hoses. These pads are manufactured from melt blown polypropylene. They have dimples and scrim for greater durability. They do not lint or tear easily. Available in a variety of weights differing in absorbent capacity.

ABSORBENT Pad types

Oil & Fuel Absorbents are white. They are hydrophobic and repel water. This allows for the absorption of oil and fuel without absorbing water itself. Ideal for indoor or outdoor use cleaning up spills on or around water. Choose these absorbents where hydrocarbons are the main and likely contaminant such as hydraulic hoses, fuel stores and marinas.

UniChem Absorbents are yellow and work as both a Universal absorbent pad and Hazchem absorbent pad absorb a wider range of liquids. These absorbents will pick up water, oils, fuels, diesel, coolant, general workplace chemicals and common agricultural chemicals, oxidisers, acids and caustics. Since these absorbents also pick up water, they are not recommended for oil on water spills.

HEAVY DUTY 400GSM ABSORBENT PADS

Offer a higher liquid absorption capacity than other weights of duty pads and wipes.

STANDARD 200GSM ABSORBENT PADS

Suited to everyday in workshops or in spill kits where there small spills are likely and equipment leaks or needs to be wiped down regularly.

LIGHT DUTY 100GSM ABSORBENT PADS

These pads work well in place of rags.

The SpilMax® range of absorbents have undergone extensive testing to ensure their absorbency and performance using the ASTM Test Method F726-06 “Sorbent Performance of Absorbents” to test maximum oil capacity.
