The absorbents in Oil & Fuel Spill Kits absorb a wide variety of plant and seed oils, hydrocarbons, petrochemicals and petroleum-based solvents.
Oil & Fuel Spill Kits include hydrophobic sorbents which repel water and float, therefore enabling the absorption of oil and fuel based products around water, without absorbing the water itself. Ideal for outdoor use and where oil and fuels are the main and likely contaminant such as hydraulic hoses, fuel stores and marinas.
Oil & Fuel Spill Kits contain sorbents which are white in colour and are normally stored in a yellow wheelie bin or PVC bag. Spill kit instructions are on the outside of the spill kit container for easy reference during a spill clean up.
Spill Kit Bags are made of tough PVC that will keep the contents dry. These portable spill kits are ideal for stowing in vehicles in the boot or behind seats. They are also suitable to store in the cabin of trucks or heavy equipment. The strong carry handles allow the bags to be hung on the wall in spill prone areas. This spill kit is light weight and easy to carry.
Spill Kit Drums are watertight and designed for storage on work vehicles and heavy equipment. Ideal for permanent installation on the outside of ute cabs and transport trucks or mounted on walls in outdoor areas. The kit is light weight and the foldout carry handles make it easy to carry the drum to a nearby spill.
Workplace Spill Kit Bins are designed to act as a portable spill control station. Ideal for areas where liquids are stored or used such as workshops, warehouses, refueling and decanting areas. The wheelie bin is easy to walk to the spill location.
The quantity is based on the risks specific to each site. Consider what the likely spill volume would be and ensure spill kit absorbency can clean up that spill volume. Identify the vulnerable and high risk areas and locate a suitable spill kit(s) no more than 30m away from the possible threat. The risks can be both outside (transport areas and storage zones) and inside (manufacturing facilities, forklift stores) a workplace.
