SpilMax® Absorbent Mini Booms are typically used to circle or bund leaking drums and machinery or placed between a spill and a stormwater drain. They are made of polypropylene and available in a variety of sizes with absorbencies ranging from 4L to 10L per saturation.
Oil & Fuel Absorbents are white. They are hydrophobic and repel water. This allows for the absorption of oil and fuel without absorbing water itself. Ideal for indoor or outdoor use cleaning up spills on or around water. Choose these absorbents where hydrocarbons are the main and likely contaminant such as hydraulic hoses, fuel stores and marinas.
UniChem Absorbents are yellow and work as both a Universal absorbent and Hazchem absorbent to absorb a wider range of liquids. These absorbents will pick up water, oils, fuels, diesel, coolant, general workplace chemicals and common agricultural chemicals, oxidisers, acids and caustics. Since these absorbents also pick up water, they are not recommended for oil on water spills.
The SpilMax® range of absorbents have undergone extensive testing to ensure their absorbency and performance using the ASTM Test Method F726-06 “Sorbent Performance of Absorbents” to test maximum oil capacity.
