Ultra-sPILL DECK FLEXIBLE MODEL

Low-profile, cost-effective affordable spill containment meets regulations with minimal storage and shipping needs.

The Ultra-Spill Deck Flexible Model addresses the challenge posed by traditional spill containment, notorious for its bulkiness. By replacing the rigid polyethylene (LLDPE) sump with robust PVC fabric, we have substantially reduced the unit size, facilitating easier storage, transportation, and shipping. Despite the transformation, functionality remains consistent; once assembled, it operates seamlessly. Simply position your 205-litre drums on the grating, and any leaks will be captured in the PVC sump.

FEATURES

  • Operates similarly to other spill decks/platforms but can be dismantled into smaller components when not in use, conserving valuable storage space and reducing shipping expenses.
  • The external yellow sump is crafted from heavy-duty, 510gsm PVC material, facilitating easy folding or rolling for convenient storage.
  • Decks can be interconnected using optional bulkhead fittings to configure a bespoke spill containment area.
  • Minor spills and leaks are confined within the sump. In the event of a major spill, the bladder (inclusive with the spill deck bladder system model) automatically deploys, providing an additional 249L of capacity.
  • The polyethylene grating can be effortlessly removed for swift cleaning.
  • Swift and straightforward assembly process.

FAQ

1. Why would I choose a flexible model spill deck over another model?

If storage or shipping space is a concern, the flexible model will take up considerably less space than the other models.

2. Why would I NOT choose a flexible model spill deck over another model?

The flexible models have a smaller containment capacity. For example, the 4-drum flexible model can contain up to 41 litres  compared to 166 litres for the standard spill deck. So depending on the application, you could end up needing to connect several more of the flexible model spill decks in order to be in compliance.

3. What are the Ultra Spill Deck Flexible Models made of?

The outer yellow sump is 510gsm PVC and the grating is polyethylene

4. Can the flexible model spill decks be connected like the standard spill decks?

Yes. The flexible model spill decks are connected in the same way as the standard spill decks. Using the same bulkhead fittings (Product CHUT1073) two or more spill decks can be connected to share containment capacity and meet spill containment regulations.

5. Can I add and connect spill decks “after the fact”, even if the holes haven’t been precut?

If a customer knows ahead of time the layout of their flexible spill deck system, we can pre-cut the holes for them so all they have to do when the units arrive is assemble them. However, it is possible to install a bulkhead fitting in the field (including cutting your own holes). Please contact us for more information and instructions.

6.  When should the bladder be replaced?

The bladder(s) should be replaced for any of the following reasons: (1) It captures a spill (regardless of the size of the spill), (2) It deploys, rolls, or falls out of the bladder attachment housing. (3) It has sat unused for more than five years.
