Industrial and commercial operations need spill containment that is safe, configurable and easy to manage. The Ultra-Spill Deck Standard Model is a low height, modular product made from low density polyethylene which is resistant to a wide range of chemicals. It gives resellers a strong offering in the mining, construction, industrial, defence, marine, transport, utilities, agriculture and government markets.
Ultra Spill Deck Strengths for Your Customers
- Low height safety. At only 145mm tall these decks reduce handling risks and improve operator safety compared to traditional spill pallets that are 300 to 400mm tall.
- Modular flexibility. Available in 2 drum (80L) and 4 drum (165L) models. Bulkhead fittings allow multiple units to be connected and share a combined sump, creating larger systems that can meet AS 3780 and AS 1940 containment requirements.
- Chemical resistant material. Constructed from tough low-density polyethylene that is compatible with a wide range of hazardous liquids.
- Safe drum access. The low deck height improves ergonomics and makes dispensing or loading drums easier and safer.
- Warranty support. Backed by a five-year manufacturer warranty against defects in material or workmanship.
Usage, Capacity and Function: Spill Deck vs Spill Pallet
Which matches your customer needs:
- Usage. Spill Decks are designed for operational areas where drums are pumped, decanted or dispensed on a daily basis. Their low profile allows safer access for staff. Spill Pallets are better suited for long term storage, particularly outdoors, where maximum containment is required.
- Capacity. The 2 drum deck provides 83 L containment and the 4 drum deck provides 167 L. These volumes are below the AS 3780 minimum requirement of 226 L when used individually. By connecting multiple decks the shared sump volume can exceed compliance thresholds. Spill Pallets typically meet AS 3780 on their own but lack modular flexibility.
- Function. Spill Decks provide flexible containment for leaks, drips and minor spills in work areas where space efficiency and ergonomics are important. Spill Pallets provide higher sump volumes for larger incidents and are intended for long term storage of sealed drums.
