UltraTech’s Ultra-Collapsible Bund, Rapid Rise Model is designed to provide an efficient and compliant solution for spill containment. One of its main benefits is the ability of its sidewalls to remain flat during normal operations, but quickly rise during a spill. This is achieved by using foam in the top, and outer perimeter of the sidewalls, which raises the walls with the level of the liquid. Additionally, rigid struts provide extra support for the sidewalls. This design helps comply with EPA spill containment regulations, while minimising the inconvenience of the sidewalls during day-to-day operations.

Other Features of Ultra-Collapsible Bund Rapid Rise Model

Sidewalls remain down during normal operations, loading, and unloading. Vehicles and equipment can drive in and out with no set-up or take-down required.
In the case of a spill, the foam ring around the top perimeter of the containment bund rises with the level of spilled liquid.
Built-in struts around the perimeter of the bund provide additional support when the liquid level is high.
Provides quick and easy spill containment for drums, IBCs, vehicles, frac tanks and other large containers.
Built-in handles help with transport and placement.

What if I need to use the Ultra-Collapsible Bund with a chemical that is not listed in the compatibility guide?

If the chemical is not listed in the guide, chances are that the chemical has not been tested with the material. If we cannot get a definitive answer from our engineering staff, we can send a testing kit to you for a 30-day immersion test.

What is the optional ground tarp for?

The ground tarp is a layer of material that is placed under the Ultra-Collapsible Bund to prevent any damage from rocks or other debris on the ground. First, the area is cleared of any rocks or debris, and then the ground tarp is laid down followed by the containment berm. This helps ensure that any spills or leaks are contained and don’t cause harm to the environment.

How do I know what size ground tarp to order?

For smaller bunds, we recommend a 3m x 3m ground tarp. For larger bunds, you’ll need to add an extra meter to both the length and width dimensions of the bund. For example, if you have a 3m x 18m containment bund, you’ll need a 4m x 19m ground tarp.

What are the track belts for?

Track belts are heavy-duty strips of reinforced PVC that protect the bund from wear and tear caused by vehicles driving in and out. This extends the life of the product.
