Absorbent marine BOOMS

Absorbent Marine Booms are designed to absorb hydrocarbons, oils, petrochemicals, petroleum-based solvents, and plant or seed oils. Their hydrophobic construction repels water, making them suitable for oil spill containment and recovery in waterways and marine environments.

Floating Marine Booms are designed for containing and absorbing hydrocarbon spills across waterways and larger surface spill areas. They can be connected together using snap hooks and nylon rope to create larger spill containment barriers. Bilge Booms are smaller absorbent booms designed for confined areas where oil sheen and hydrocarbon build-up may occur, including boat bilges, drain pits, and runoff collection areas.

Each floating marine boom is fitted with snap hooks and a full-length nylon rope, allowing multiple booms to be securely connected together. This helps create larger containment barriers and supports easier boom retrieval after use.

Absorbent Marine Booms are available in 125mm and 200mm diameters to suit different spill containment requirements. Depending on the boom size, each boom can absorb up to 35 litres per saturation while continuing to float on water when fully saturated.

Yes. Absorbent Marine Booms are manufactured with a UV resistant spun bonded outer mesh encasing polypropylene particulate for durability in demanding outdoor and marine environments. The full-length nylon rope also improves boom strength and retrieval handling.
