Modular, 6-metre spill containment pans share containment, providing unlimited capacity

The Ultra-Track Pans, Composite Model have been specifically designed to offer spill containment solutions for industrial rail sidings and locomotive maintenance facilities. These six-metre pans are designed to seamlessly interconnect, catering to spill control needs ranging from minor maintenance drips to potential catastrophic spills from tanker cars.

IMPORTANT: The Ultra-Pellet Pan will not contain liquids of any kind.

 

FEATURES

  • Crafted from high-strength, non-porous fiberglass, ensuring resilience against corrosion and providing dependable service over the years.
  • With a low profile measuring 6m in length and 124mm in height, the pans seamlessly integrate into the surroundings.
  • Pandrol compatible, ensuring seamless integration with existing rail infrastructure.
  • Equipped with a railside gasket sealing system, preventing leaks between the track pans and rails, thereby enhancing spill containment efficiency.
  • Optional flow-through technology is available, enabling increased containment capacity for larger spills while minimising the cleanup effort required for smaller incidents.
  • Optional drainage manifold facilitates drainage of both center and side pans into oil/water separators, holding ponds, and other suitable disposal facilities. The manifold is equipped with a clean-out port for easy removal of sludge blockages, ensuring hassle-free maintenance.
  • An optional polyethylene (LLDPE) grating package is available to enhance safety for pedestrian traffic, providing a secure walking surface over the containment pans.

1. What is the flow rate for each drain?



557 liters-per-minute (LPM) when pans are connected with flow-throughs.


2. How do these pans ship?


Because of the length of the Ultra-Track Pans, they must be side-loaded onto a dedicated flatbed or Conestoga truck. Even a single pan will require this method of shipping. Center pans stack 6 high, and side pans ship 12 high.

3. How many Ultra Composite Track Pans can ship on a truck?


A total of 12 centers and 24 sides can fit on one 14m flatbed. If shipping alone, 12 centers can ship on one truck and 48 sides can fit on one truck.


4. Where do Ultra Composite Track Pans ship from?


The Ultra Composite Track Pans ship from Jacksonville, Florida. If you order the optional grates, those will ship from Mentor, Ohio.

5. What is the temperature rating of the Ultra Composite Track Pan, Composite Models?


The temperature rating will vary depending on the chemical. Please see the chemical compatibility guide for more information. High-temp Ultra-Track Pans are available. Please  contact us for more information.

6. Is there a way for spilled liquid to be routed to a larger containment area (tank, pond, etc.)?


Yes. The Ultra Composite Track Pans have a drain manifold option available that can be used to pipe spilled liquids from the pans to larger containment so catastrophic spills can still be completely contained and prevented from contaminating the surrounding environment.

7. What diameter is the drain and or manifold?

The drain is 101mm and drains into the 76mm manifold. This allows the pan to drain faster as the 101mm opening reduces the friction and surface tension of the fluid at the inlet of a gravity drain.
